These are a few photos of Belongil Beach where we congregate early morning for training at least twice a week as we train elsewhere at least once a week. It's a lovely spot and even at the height of the day, there is rarely anyone on the beach.
It's normally ok to swim here although a young Japanese woman got caught in a rip only about 10 days ago. Her body hasn't yet been found. The next morning before sunrise the patrols were looking for her on jet skis and a vehicle was going up and down the beach. The seas were really huge the day she went missing and she had apparently only been in Australia for two hours when someone took her for a swim. There are often reminders here of just how powerful nature is and just how respectful we should be of it.

I haven't really had any great news to relate this week which is why I haven't updated my blog so often. I've been back three weeks now and time has flown. This week my body was totally used to the new training regimen and I felt great. I had a problem with the regulator on my bike yesterday so I had to have that replaced but I was glad it happened in broad daylight when I could get it fixed within a few hours. I had to push my bike up a hill to push start it on the way down just to get it to the bike mechanic. Apparently these things happen after a number of years.
Had diner wednesday night with Nancy and Robert, the owners of the house. They are a lovely couple and I think they are both 69 years old. Last night I went over to diner to other friends who live just around the corner (a few minutes walk) so I've been doing my social bit.
That's pretty much all for now.

Allo Anne

Bisous
Annexx
